Wie misses another cut
24/11/2006 - 12:50:04Michelle Wie’s attempts to compete with the men suffered a blow when she missed the cut in the Casio Open in Japan.
The Hawaii-born 17-year-old, who opened with a round of 81, carded an 80 in the second round to lie 100th of the 101 entrants on 17 over par.
She was 27 shots behind tournament leader Tetsuya Haraguchi, who held a one-shot lead over Volvo Masters champion Jeev Milkha Singh going into the third round.
