Niall Mellon initiative builds 70 homes in a week in SA
24/11/2006 - 14:20:24A group of Irish volunteers have succeeded in building 70 homes for homeless people in South Africa in one week.
The 350 volunteers, who had to raise €4,000 each to take part, were working on the Niall Mellon townships initiative in Capetown.
Niall Mellon said that he hopes to recruit 1,000 Irish volunteers to work on the housebuilding project next year.
