Kildare gardaí seize €50,000 worth of cocaine
24/11/2006 - 10:20:42Cocaine worth up to €50,000 has been seized by gardaí in Kildare following a major surveillance operation.
The drugs were discovered yesterday evening during a planned search at premises near Rathangan village.
Following the seizure gardaí stopped a car and arrested three occupants, all men in their early 20s.
They were taken to Newbridge garda station where they are being detained under the Drug Trafficking Act.
This morning gardaí are carrying out follow-up searches in the Rathangan area.
