Harrison cleared to fight
21/11/2006 - 16:27:20WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has been cleared by the British Boxing Board of Control to defend his title against Nicky Cook next month.
The Scotsman underwent a series of medical tests after being released from a Spanish prison on bail last week following an alleged assault on October 6.
A statement by BBBC general secretary Simon Block said: “Following consideration today of a number of medical reports received, boxer Scott Harrison has been cleared to proceed with his contest against Nicky Cook scheduled for the Excel Arena on Saturday, December 9.”
