Irish man arrested in Thailand in connection with murder of local girl
21/11/2006 - 07:28:10Police in Thailand have arrested a 40-year-old Irishman in connection with the murder of a young Thai woman.
The 24-year-old bar girl was stabbed to death on Sunday in the sex-tourism city of Pattaya, south of the capital Bangkok.
She was found lying in a pool of blood on the floor of an apartment by a security guard who heard her screams.
The Irishman is in police custody after being apprehended while trying to get to the Cambodian border in a taxi.
