28 injured as Berlin commuter train hits maintenance train
20/11/2006 - 11:50:16About 28 people suffered minor injuries in Germany today when a Berlin commuter train rear-ended a maintenance train at a busy station.
The accident occurred at the Suedkreuz station, an interchange south of central Berlin.
Some of the injured were treated at the scene while others were taken to hospitals, according to the fire department.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear, said railway spokesman Burkhard Ahlert said.
