St. Pat’s had the better of the first half with Mark Quigley shooting against a post.
Skipper Colm Foley was off target with a header before Paul Keegan was also narrowly wide with a shot.
Longford’s Dessie Baker was the first to see red for a second booking following a foul on Alan Murphy on 66 minutes.
Saints’ defender Darragh Maguire was then also sent off for his second card on 79 minutes for a challenge on Ian Wexler. That mean’s Maguire is now suspended for the FAI Carlsberg Cup final.
