Cannon out of Ireland test

Australia hooker Brendan Cannon has been ruled out of Sunday’s clash with Ireland at Lansdowne Road.

Cannon suffered a neck strain during Saturday’s 25-18 victory over Italy in Rome and has failed a fitness test today.

His Western Force team-mate Tai McIsaac is promoted from the bench with Australia A hooker Stephen Moore filling the vacancy among the substitutes.

Wallaby head coach John Connolly said: “Brendan is definitely out. He’s not 100% so we’ve withdrawn him.

“I don’t think the change will cause any disruption.”
