Three quizzed over ecstasy haul

Three people were being questioned by gardaí today over drug seizures in Portlaoise and Carlow worth more than €200,000.

Gardaí discovered a large number of ecstasy tablets with a potential street value of €200,000 when they searched a car in Portlaoise.

A man and a woman were arrested and held for questioning in Portlaoise garda station.

As part of the same garda operation, another man was arrested in Carlow town yesterday afternoon and was detained.
