Consultants and HSE to resume talks on hospital contracts
09/11/2006 - 08:16:49The Irish Hospital Consultants Association (IHCA) is due to resume talks with the Health Service Executive (HSE) today on new contracts for its members.
Negotiations between the two sides broke down in February due to a dispute over whether doctors will be allowed to work with both public and private hospital patients.
The HSE wanted them to agree to new contracts that would see them only treating public patients, but the IHCA says it believes there is now a willingness to be more flexible on the matter.
