Gardaí investigate blast outside north Dublin house

Gardaí in north Dublin are investigating an apparent bomb explosion outside a house in the Finglas area last night.

Technical experts are examining an explosive device that exploded in the driveway of the house in Lanesborough Park at around 9.40pm.

The blast damaged a number of windows and part of the front of the house, which was unoccupied at the time.

The scene has been sealed while forensic teams gather evidence.
