CSO reports slight increase in Live Register figures
07/11/2006 - 13:02:50The number of people signing on for unemployment benefits increased slightly last month, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.
The CSO says the seasonally-adjusted Live Register figure increased by 100 to 155,400 during October.
This follows a decrease of 2,900 in September.
The Live Register is not a measure of unemployment as it also includes casual and part-time workers who are untitled to unemployment assistance and benefits.
