Waterford defeat sees City jump to third

Roy O’Donovan scored a brace as Cork got their European hopes back on track tonight with this comfortable win in the Munster derby to regain third spot in the table.

Billy Woods sent the champions on their way with the lead goal on 32 minutes.

But bottom of the table Blues levelled through Robert Brosnan’s persistence right on half time.

City were back in front within three minutes of the restart when O’Donovan scored his first with a low drive.

O’Donvoan then scored a brilliant second on 65 minutes, showing his pace and dribbling skills before finding the top corner of Ben Spicer’s net.

Neal Fenn added the fourth ten minutes from time.
