Derry fail to close the gap on Shels

Derry blew a chance to make up ground on Shelbourne tonight with this below par display against a dogged Bray at the Brandywell.
A scramble in the Bray box on 36 minutes failed to deliver a goal as Wanderers somehow survived.
Bray continued to defend stoutly throughout the second half and when Derry did get through right on 90 minutes Stephen O’Flynn’s shot came back off the bar.
