Hilario ready for Barca challenge

The Portuguese goalkeeper, who turns 31 on Saturday, has found himself thrust into the limelight following the head injuries suffered by Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini.
Until now, the most Hilario could have hoped for was a debut in next week’s Carling Cup third-round tie at Blackburn.
But he is determined to make the most of his surprise opportunity in tomorrow’s Champions League Group A crunch at Stamford Bridge.
“I am prepared for the challenge,” he said in the Daily Mail. “I am motivated not to waste this opportunity. It does not worry me that it is against our main rivals, Barcelona.
“I am preparing to stop them as much as I can.”
