Brown Thomas profits down 11% to just over €20m last year

Brown Thomas has reported an 11% drop in profits to just over €20m last year.

The group is blaming the fall in steep rents at its four anchor stores and 28 A-Wear stores around the country, as well as losses at BT2.

However, a spokesperson says profits are expected to recover this year and the company is also looking to open a BT2 outlet on Dublin's northside.
