Taoiseach says he paid full market value for Dublin home
05/10/2006 - 11:39:33The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has denied any wrongdoing in connection with the purchase of his house in the Drumcondra area of Dublin.
Mr Ahern faced further opposition anger in the Dáil this morning when he appeared to answer questions about the matter.
He confirmed that he bought the house from Michael Wall, who was also at the controversial Manchester function where he received an £8,000 "gift" in 1994.
However, he said Mr Wall was not one of the businessmen who contributed to the payment.
Mr Ahern also said he paid full market value for the house.
