Garda appeal after body found in sea

Gardaí tonight appealed for help in identifying the body of a man taken from the sea at Middle Pier Harbour, Howth on Wednesday morning.

The dead man who was in his late 20s is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall and of average build with brown hair.

He had a number of distinctive tattoos including one on his right shoulder of a crocodile or dragon, a skeleton with serpents on his left shoulder and an executioner carrying an axe on his right calf.

He was wearing a navy track suit and blue hooded fleece when discovered. Following a post-mortem, gardai have ruled out foul play.

The discovery was made by a man out walking who reported it to gardaí.
