Kylie: 'Writing book was therapeutic'
04/10/2006 - 17:13:14Kylie Minogue found writing her first fictional book while recovering from breast cancer "therapeutic".
Minogue's book, The Showgirl Diaries, is aimed at young children and tells the story of a girl's rise to stage fame.
The Spinning Around singer - who was this year given the all clear after a 12 month battle with cancer - explains, "I met with publishers while I was having treatment. It was therapeutic to be working on something.
"I had time. It would have been one of those projects that I would have had to squeeze in amongst a zillion other things. It's perfect timing."
