NCA calls for regulation of property management firms

The National Consumer Agency has added its voice to calls for regulation of property management firms.

Thousands of apartment dwellers have to pay annual fees to such firms for the upkeep of communal areas.

However, many say they are receiving very little in return for the money.

The NCA said today that consumers were not being provided with enough information and transparency is urgently needed when it comes to determining the level of service charge and how it is spent.
