Limerick: Gardaí arrest four in relation to firearms offences
30/09/2006 - 12:54:26Gardaí in Limerick have arrested four men in connection with firearms offences.
Two 21-year-olds, an 18-year-old and 41-year-old were arrested in the Moyross area of the city this morning.
Two rifles and two sawn-off shotguns, as well as a quantity of ammunition, were seized in the swoop which is part of Operation Anvil, the Gardaí's drive against illegally-held firearms.
The men are being questioned at a number of garda stations around Limerick and can be held for up to 72 hours.
