Sandler isn’t to everyone’s liking but in this off-centre and always interesting tale he emerges with credit.
He plays a workaholic who strives to keep his wife (Berckinsale) and kids happy with a demanding boss (Hasselhoff) always on his back.
He sets out to find something that will help him regulate his life better and meets an inventor (Walken) with a strange device … a sort of life remote-control.
But for those of us who get miffed when loved ones grab the TV remote in a desperate search for the perfect solution to everything that is otherwise bad we know that flicking through the channels – or life – isn’t the answer.
