The final of the inaugural All-Ireland 'AA Insurance Ladies Championships' gets underway at Headfort Golf Club on Wednesday, October 4 where 128 golfers will tee-off with the hope of landing silverware.

The final of the Championship, which involves the biggest-ever sponsorship in Irish ladies golf, includes golfers who have qualified in five district competitions held throughout the country.

The Championship, which is the first event of its kind in Irish golfing history, has been a resounding success attracting 15,000 participants of all ages, or one in four of the 60,000 golfers affiliated to the ILGU through their clubs.
