Jackson signs deal with Microsoft
28/09/2006 - 12:07:06Film-maker Peter Jackson has been signed up by computer giant Microsoft to create an Xbox game.
The director - celebrated for his digital wizardry in giant ape film King Kong - will produce a series based on the Halo video game franchise, but admits he's still not sure how it will work.
He says: "Technology is at a point where we can blend a lot of film storytelling with interactive entertainment.
"We are right on the threshold of a new way of telling stories… (but we still need to) work out how to do it."
The announcement was made at a convention in Barcelona yesterday.
