Drop in new car registrations
28/09/2006 - 11:48:05There were 10,749 new private cars licensed in August 2006, compared with 11,080 in August 2005, a decrease of 3%.
First licensing of second-hand private cars increased by 1,599 (46%) on the same month last year.
The number of new goods vehicles licensed was 3,313 in August 2006, compared with 2,963 in the corresponding month last year, an increase of 11.8%.
