Airliner forced to make emergency landing at Shannon
16/09/2006 - 15:09:24An American passenger jet has been forced to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport.
The Delta flight from Shannon to New York was forced to make a u-turn after smoke was reported in the cabin.
Emergency crews were on standby but the plane landed safely and all 276 passengers were evacuated while a technical examination is conducted to determine the source of the problem.
