Reading centre-back Ivar Ingimarsson has been cleared to play at Sheffield United after suffering a head injury while scoring Monday night’s winner against Manchester City.

The Iceland international, who clashed heads with City’s Sylvain Distin, suffered blurred vision but was not concussed.

Striker Dave Kitson (knee) and defenders Sam Sodje (knee) and Aaron Brown (ankle) remain sidelined, however.

Provisional squad: Hahnemann, Stack, Murty, de la Cruz, Ingimarsson, Sonko, Shorey, Halls, Seol, Little, Harper, Sidwell, Hunt, Oster, Gunnarsson, Convey, Lita, Doyle, Long.
