The most famous, talked-about documentary of recent years finally arrives in local cinemas, and a powerful piece it proves to be as former Presidential candidate Al Gore paints an often harrowing picture of the state of the world.
The Americans have a terrible record in and attitude to the environmental dangers we are all currently facing – Bush remains inept in the face of the big-money and big-business interests – but Gore, who has surely done any future political ambitions no harm with this film, lines up the evidence again his, and our, fellow citizens.
It’s a film you simply cannot go without seeing. And after seeing it you simply cannot allow bought-and-paid-for politicians to continue allowing our world to be destroyed.
