Teenagers arrested after cocaine seizures at debs balls
08/09/2006 - 07:43:23More than a dozen teenagers have reportedly been arrested following cocaine seizures at debs balls in Navan in the last week.
Reports this morning say the arrests were made during a garda crackdown on drug abuse at graduation balls in the Co Meath town.
Cocaine was the most common drug seized, followed by ecstasy and cannabis.
The seizures are likely to raise further concern about growing cocaine use in Ireland.
Experts say taking the class A drug is now perceived as a normal activity among many young people in Ireland.
