Connacht sign Saints prop Burgess

Connacht have signed Northampton Saints prop Brett Burgess to cover for long-term injury victim Ronan Loughney.

Loughney was struck down by a second cruciate knee ligament injury and 24-year-old Sturgess will look to gain the first team experience that would be out of reach in the Guinness Premiership.

Connacht manager Michael Bradley said: "Ronan's injury was unfortunate but he will bounce back and the signing of Brett will help us in that area."
