Search resumes for two missing men on West Cork coast
05/09/2006 - 08:33:22A full search has resumed this morning for two men missing off the West Cork coast since Sunday.
Local fishing boats are being asked to join the operation.
The search, involving units from the coastguard, Navy and Garda divers, and the naval vessel the LE Aoife will be expanded to cover a wider area today.
Jonathon Herlihy and Peter O'Keefe have not been seen since they went to the aid of a couple who got into difficulty in the water off Owennahincha beach.
The couple eventually made it to shore but the two missing men were washed out to sea and are feared top have drowned.
