ISEQ down, despite Kingspan surge
The ISEQ fell 13.66 points today to close at 8188.78.
Kingspan was the most impressive gainer, up €1.17 (8.2%) to €15.35. The company today reported a 16.5% increase in sales for the six months to the end of June.
Grafton slipped 5c to €10.95.
Anglo Irish Bank was the busiest share of the day. It fell 37c (2.8%) to €12.73, following news that it expects 2006 eps to be 3c ahead of previous expectations.
Allied Irish Bank rose 20c to €20.70. Irish Life and Permanent fell 20c to €20.00, despite announcing a 23% rise in operating profit for the first half of the year.
Bank of Ireland closed down 1c at €14.75.
Irish Continental fell 25c (2.2%) to €11.00.
C&C finished the day up 13c (1.3%) at €10.11.
Kerry Group fell 10c to €17.45. The company today announced pre-tax profits of €216m for the first half of 2006, an increase of almost 2%.
