Rain forces Thirsk abandonment
02/09/2006 - 16:20:04Thirsk’s meeting was abandoned today after the third race due to waterlogging.
The track was declared to be unsafe following an inspection by track officials, who were joined by a deputation of jockeys and trainers.
After winning the second race on Hadahoo, Darryll Holland reported to the stewards there was a problem with a certain part of the course where the ground was moving underneath the horses’ hooves.
