Federline finally wins music industry backing

Kevin Federline has finally won music industry backing for his much publicised fledgling career as a rapper after signing a deal with record label giant Sony BMG.

The much-maligned husband of Britney Spears, who previously worked as a backing dancer, set up his own company, Federation Records, recently after being unilaterally snubbed.

But the 28-year-old's debut live performance of his first single Lose Control at America's Teen Choice Awards last month changed some opinions, reports AllHipHop.com, with Sony BMG signing a deal to back Federation Records.

Federline's debut album Playing With Fire will hit shops in the US on October 31.
