No All-Ireland tickets for SF after dispute with GAA
01/09/2006 - 07:36:36Sinn Féin will not be getting tickets for this year’s All-Ireland finals after the party used Casement Park in Belfast to hold a hunger strike rally last month.
Around 20,000 people attended the rally, despite the GAA refusing to give permission for the event to be staged.
The organisation traditionally gives Oireachtas members and members of the nationalist parties in the North the opportunity to buy tickets when their counties are involved.
However, a report in the Irish Times claims the GAA will not offer tickets to Sinn Féin this year after it defied a HQ order not to hold the hunger strike rally in its Belfast grounds.
