They needed two directors to keep up with this high-powered, lightning-paced thriller in which Statham races around LA seeking the gangster (Cantillo) who poisoned him and the cure for what ails him.

It’s a film packed with relentless technical wizardry and kept thundering along by Heveldine and Taylor.

It’s a highly-entertaining comedy-thriller – Statham is particularly good – that leaves its breathless audience in need of two weeks quiet rest in a darkened room.
