Kerry's Sheehan back in training
Kerry's bid for a second All-Ireland SFC title in three years has been boosted by the news of Bryan Sheehan's return to full training.
The St. Mary's marksman took part in his first full training session with Jack O'Connor's panel on Monday night, having damaged his ankle ligaments when playing in a county U21 semi-final for South Kerry earlier in the month.
Sheehan has stepped up his training in the last few weeks after making a quicker than expected recovery.
Despite being relegated to the substitutes bench for two of Kerry's last three games, the classy free-taker is still the Kingdom's top scorer in the 2006 championship with 25 points.
It remains to be seen however, if he can prove his fitness to O'Connor and gain a starting role for the September 17 final against Mayo.
Kerry's attacking sextet were on top form in their semi-final defeat of Munster champions Cork - five of their forwards scored from play, with only centre forward Eoin Brosnan failing to raise a white flag.
