Cabinet to hold first meeting since summer break today
30/08/2006 - 07:44:38The Cabinet is due to hold its first meeting following the summer break today, with the situation in Lebanon and plans for a new Dublin Airport terminal among the issues up for discussion.
Minister for Defence Willie O'Dea is expected to brief his ministerial colleagues on the latest developments in Lebanon.
However, a decision on whether to send Irish troops to take part in the UN peacekeeping mission in the south of the country is not expected for some time.
The new 50,000-square-metre terminal proposed by the Dublin Airport Authority is also up for discussion, with the Cabinet expected to give its backing to the project.
