30/08/2006 - 10:01:03R&B beauty Beyonce Knowles struggles to maintain her independence from boyfriend Jay-Z, because she has fallen so deeply "in love" with the rapper.
The former Destiny's Child star knew she had to take a step back from her relationship when she started to do things she had never contemplated before.
However she managed to stop herself from becoming too reliant on Jay-Z by reassessing the relationship and focusing on her blossoming solo career.
She says: "Sometimes you fall so much in love that you start doing things you wouldn't normally do, and you're so into this person that they have control over you.
"But I think it's important to still know who your are and what you want out of life - that's how you have a healthy relationship."
