26 drown as minibus falls into India reservoir
29/08/2006 - 10:22:22A packed minibus plunged into reservoir in southern India today, killing 26 people heading out for a picnic.
The accident occurred as their minibus headed for the Almatti dam in the state of Karnataka, the Press Trust of India news agency said, quoting district officials.
Six others in the vehicle managed to swim to shore, PTI said.
