Tipp unchanged for minor decider
Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy has named an unchanged side for Sunday's ESB All-Ireland minor hurling championship final against Galway (Croke Park, throw-in 2pm).
Sheedy has selected the same 15 players who started the 0-19 to 3-9 semi-final success over Kilkenny on August 13.
That means there is no place for Drom & Inch attacker Seamus Callinan who struck over the match-winning point against Kilkenny.
Portroe clubman Sheedy said: "I'm under no illusions. I know we are going to be up against it in the final. I saw Galway win their semi-final - they're a very, very good side. They are workmanlike and have the best forward in the country in Joe Canning."
Victory for Tipp, who lost the Munster final to Cork in June but bounced back to beat Carlow and Kilkenny, would be particularly sweet for team captain Joey McLoughney.
This is the Toomevara midfielder's third year on the minor panel and he could be the man to end the Premier county's ten-year wait for an All-Ireland minor title.
Sheedy's charges will go in as underdogs as Galway gun for their third minor final win in-a-row, but Tipp have a decent record against the westerners at this grade having defeated them in All-Ireland MHC finals on five different occasions - in 1933, 1947, 1955, 1982 and 1996.
Tipp will again look to corner forward Pa Bourke to provide the scores - the Thurles Sarsfields tyro has been top scorer in the run through to the final with 2-28 (0-14f) in five games. McLoughney has landed 1-14 (1-0 pen, 0-10f).
