Aer Arann expands aircraft staff

Twelve new Aer Arann cabin crew are to take up their new positions in Cork and Galway over the coming weeks.

The new recruits received their wings from managing director, Garry Cullen to mark the end of their training course this week.

Chosen from over 100 applicants the cabin crew will now take up their positions in the airline’s Cork and Galway bases, having completed their five-week training course.

The wings ceremony coincided with the launch of the airline’s new female cabin crew uniform.

Designer Paul Costelloe, consulted on the uniform design which was manufactured and produced by Calvelex.

The new design includes a tailored woolen blend jacket and pencil skirt in the airlines signature colour, navy with a cornflower blue trim on the collar.

Commenting on the new uniform, Mary Corrigan, Aer Arann’s Inflight Services Manager said:

“We are delighted to be launching our stylish new cabin crew uniform today as we welcome 12 of our newest recruits onboard. A lot of time and work has been invested in developing our new look and I am sure our cabin crew will enjoy wearing such a chic uniform.”

Aer Arann currently operates 600 flights per week across 39 routes in Ireland, France and the UK.

The airline recently announced its winter schedule, which will include two new routes from Cork and Galway to Leeds Bradford and a new domestic service between Galway and Cork from October 2.
