Hostage Fogarty touches down at Shannon
26/08/2006 - 18:40:01The Galway engineer who was held hostage in Nigeria for a fortnight has arrived back in Ireland.
Bryan Fogarty's plane touched down at Shannon Airport from London just after 4.30pm.
The 39-year-old from Oughterard was kidnapped from a bar in the city of Port Harcourt along with five others.
He had been working in the African country for the American oil and gas company Halliburton.
It is thought a ransom may have been paid to secure his release.
