SIPTU urges Aer Lingus staff to back sell-off proposals
25/08/2006 - 13:17:20SIPTU is advising its members at Aer Lingus to vote in favour of Labour Court recommendations relating to the planned sale of the airline.
The court's proposals include a 4% pay increase, improved benefits for workers and the possibility of up to 500 extra permanent jobs.
Almost 2,000 SIPTU members at Aer Lingus are due to be balloted on the recommendations next month.
