ISEQ ends week positively
25/08/2006 - 18:22:13The ISEQ index of Irish shares ended the week in positive territory, finishing up 65.89 points to 7873.84 by the end of day's trading.
All the financial heavyweights posted gains today.
AIB rose 40c to €20.14, Anglo Irish Bank rose 31c to €12.76, Irish Life and Permanent gained 25c to €19.30 while Bank of Ireland was up 15c to €14.95.
Elsewhere Ryanair fell 2c to €7.10 after saying it plans to follow through with its threat to sue the British government over new anti-terrorism restrictions.
Last week, the airline threatened to seek compensation through the courts if the authorities did not ease the restrictions within seven days.
