Govt announces €2.9m funding for anti-drugs initiatives

The Government has announced €2.9m in funding for community projects aimed at keeping young people away from drugs.

More than half of the money has been allocated towards the provision of four youth and community facilities in Dun Laoghaire, Limerick and Cork and five youth projects in Waterford.

The aim of the funding is to attract disadvantaged young people into programmes and activities that will divert them from drugs.
