McCartney to make donation after gala cancellation
24/08/2006 - 14:36:04Paul McCartney is to make a substantial donation to the Adopt-a-Minefield charity after his split from wife Heather caused him to pull out of a benefit gala.
The former Beatle will give a reported £1.6m (€2.4m) to the organisation.
He was due to perform at the annual fundraising event in Los Angeles in October.
