Annual manufacturing prices down 0.2% in July
24/08/2006 - 13:20:39Factory-gate prices decreased by 0.1% in July 2006. This compares to a decrease of 0.3% recorded for July of last year.
As a result, the annual percentage change showed a decrease of 0.2% in July 2006, which compares with a decrease of 0.4% in June 2006.
In the month, the index for export sales decreased by 0.1% while the index for home sales remained unchanged.
In the year there was a decrease in export sales of 0.6% and an increase in home sales of 1.4%.
In the month the most significant changes were increases in electrical machinery and apparatus, not elsewhere classified (+3.0%), and mining and quarrying (+4.6%), while there were decreases in meat and meat products (-1.4%) and basic chemicals (-0.3%).
