Changes made to Ryder Cup totals
The European Ryder Cup table has been adjusted two days after the finish of the US PGA championship following the realisation that money earned by players who missed the cut last Friday counts and should have been added.
It does not alter anybody’s position, but it does mean that Paul McGinley is a little further behind Padraig Harrington in eighth than he thought.
The difference could become critical at the end of qualifying next week. Back in 1991, David Gilford edged Eamonn Darcy out of a place by less than £60.
