Consultants seeking 20% pay increase

22/08/2006 - 08:02:34
Hospital consultants are reportedly seeking wage increases of around 20% as part of a government-established pay review for top-level public servants.

It also believes the pay claim should be separate from the on-going review of consultants' contracts, which could see hospital doctors getting substantial pay increases in return for agreeing to significant changes in their work practices.
